Leonardo Carrer and Massimo Zanetti received the award for the Best Italian PhD Theses on Geoscience and Remote Sensing by the Italian Chapter of the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society.

The award was presented to the best three PhD Theses defended in the period January 2017 – June 2018. The title of the PhD Thesis of Leonardo Carrer is  “Advanced Signal Processing Methods for Planetary Radar Sounder Data” (Advisor: Prof. L. Bruzzone), while the one of Massimo Zanetti is “Advanced methods for the analysis of multispectral and multitemporal remote sensing images” (Advisor: Prof. L. Bruzzone).
