Yady Tatiana Solano Correa and Luca Bergamasco received the award for the Best Italian PhD and Master Theses on Geoscience and Remote Sensing by the Italian Chapter of the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society.

The award was presented to the best three PhD and Master Theses defended in the period January 2018 – April 2019. The title of the PhD Thesis of Yady Tatiana Solano Correa is “Advanced Methods for the Analysis of Multitemporal Multispectral Satellite Images” (Advisors: F. Bovolo, L. Bruzzone). The title of the Master Thesis of Luca Bergamasco is “Deep Learning Based Unsupervised Change Detection in VHR SAR Images” (Advisors: L. Bruzzone, F. Bovolo, S. Saha).
